INVESTIGATION METHOD

How We Investigate Sightings

Every report begins as an observation to be verified. We first examine aviation, astronomical, weather, environmental, and imaging explanations before retaining unresolved cases.

01

Collect Source Data

Record time, location, direction, duration, movement, witness count, and original media.

02

Check Conditions

Compare weather, visibility, celestial objects, flights, satellites, and the local environment.

03

Review Common Causes

Assess aircraft, drones, astronomy, lights, lens reflections, and compression artifacts.

04

Classify and Preserve

Assign a status based on evidence quality and retain the record for later comparison.

Principle: “Unidentified” does not mean “confirmed extraterrestrial craft.” Case status may change when new evidence becomes available.
